| Moderator | Unknown Sailing Ship - First Dive of the '08 Season - 20 April I have spoken to Helena at Scimitar Diving to find their availability for the only weekend I have free until October which is the 20 April 2008. Smudge is away for a couple of days but will confirm exact times (somewhere around 08:30 RO from Portland) and costs but there is a minimum of 8 to make this run. The more the better as this will reduce the costs (in the order of £500 for the day). Costs are £57 per head as the trip is 2.5 hours out. Having spoken to several people over the weekend, the main aim of this day would be to recover some items from the seabed to see if they can be identified as it appears that Steve Cheshire's tiresome searches of the Times haven't proved conclusive (unfortunately). I will run the list here but make posts on YD and SWM to garner interest. 1. GLOC 2. Howard Payne 3. David Martin 4. Steve Cheshire 5. The Duck 6. Joe Hesketh 7. 8. 9. 10. There are now 4 spaces available. Trip will still go as both Andy and Osama are paying their way. Osama I will PM you my bank details and if you can transfer the £57 it would be appreciated. Weather call at 18:00 on friday night. I will post here but not ring everyone as I don't have your numbers!!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Gareth - amused that my PM crossed your post! At the moment I can come, it's just awkward to hold the date indefinately. If we get 8 people (which seems the minimum for the trip to run) by next Thursday (20 March), you can count me as a definate. If it's still up in the air by then, I'll get in touch to work out what to do. John (G) and Al expressed an interest too. I know JK and Clare can't make it. I guess we need to think about teams and tasks once we know who can make it! David |

| Moderator | Excellent. I will let Helena know that we have the minimum numbers and get the details refined.
