![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Trip to Chatham dockyards In order to make our the trip in the summer more productive we've started discussing some of the things to be done over the winter/spring/early summer. The first of these is a trip to the Royal Dockyards at Chatham. I would like as many of the people coming on the project weekend as possible to get to these preliminary events so that we all have a chance to discuss things, work out what we want to achieve in the summer and work out what else we need to do between now and then. That said, we're not going to expect Ricardo to fly from Portugal, Rob to drive back from Germany etc. The dockyard re-opens on 9 February after its winter closure. I suggest that we avoid the first weekend. There are already other plans which will involve some of us for 16-17 February. Lets see if we can find a day on either 23/24 Feb or 1/2 March. EDIT - Trip scheduled for Saturday 1 March The trip will be open to all, not just those diving on the August project weekend, and I would encourage others to come along. You are welcome to put names down now, but I'll be selecting the day primarily based on availability of the 12 of us going in the summer. The opening hours are 10-4, so whichever day we pick I suggest we get there at 10am. Directions How to Find Us: By Road Please add your name to list list at the last post if you can make it. David, I think you mentioned that you might be doing some survey type skills on the other day of the weekend of Chatham visit. Is this still a plan?

We're going to do this when it's warmer rather than on the same weekend. The Chatham weekend would probably be a good time to do some of the planning and to set a date, if we haven't decided upon a date before then.David |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bump... Just to remind anyone [else] on the list who might have forgotten to put this in their diaries... And to a more general audience, the trip's open to all - no need to be on the Sailing Ship project (I just posted here for convenience). There's potential to co-ordinate transport since we shouldn't need the usual boot full of kit. I'll be going from North-East London (E11) if this suits anyone else. | GUE | I'll probably just take a train to Chatham, but if someone could collect me from the station, I'd buy them a coffee ![]() There's potential to co-ordinate transport since we shouldn't need the usual boot full of kit. I'll be going from North-East London (E11) if this suits anyone else. |
