Kit requirements

I know that this will be old hat to those on this year's trip, but for clarity I've included it in the thread.

Everyone will need the following cylinders (please arrive with these full for the first day):
T1: 2x D12 (18/45), 2x AL80 (50%)
T2: 1x D12 (18/45), 2x AL80 (18/45), 2x 7L (50%), 1x AL40 or 7L (O2)
T1+A.N.Other trimix with 2 deco gas qualification: 2x D12 (18/45), 2x 7L (50%), 1x AL40 or 7L (O2)

Please turn up with full cylinders for the first day!
As we're only planning one dive on the last day, I'll plan for a full twinset, but no bottom stage for the T2 divers.

As Grahame has the compressor up and running now, we should be able to blend on the boat and make good use of the surface interval.

We'll also need some spare cylinders and other spare kit in general: we'll co-ordinate this nearer the time.

David

Just a placeholder for now. I'll add details of who's volunteered to bring items of spare kit here nearer the time.

David, it looks like my French thing has gone to rat**** so it looks like I can come along for this.

I know it is full at the moment, but can you put me on the reserve list please.

You know what kit I have :D

T1 still and no TDI trimix ticket to carry 2 deco stages.

Done. It would be good to have you along to the preliminary weekends in any event, if you'd like to come. Perhaps you and I could also meet up for a day to play with cameras once I've bought my stobes?

Thanks for all this David.
Count me in for the T2 dives.

If you have trouble finding a suitable spot to practise survey etc, please let me know - I know a couple around here (Lisbon) ;-)
Seriously - It's about time you guys came over. We have sun, beer, caves, wrecks ... :-)

I'm trying to find a way to drive there - so that I don't burden everybody with spare gear etc. I'll let you know.

I'll take my PC & the Therion software, so that the whole team can play with it and be familiar with it to evolve the surveys as we go along.

Best,
Ricardo

Ricardo,

I'm sure that we can pull together some spare gear for you - certainly all the heavy items, so don't feel the need to drive if you don't want to.

By "PC" I guess you mean a desktop. If so this may actually be a little more awkward, unless there's someone staying in a B&B, as we should be going to sea in Lamlash this time around, which means we can't have stuff strewn across the cabin to quite the same extent as last year. Do you have a laptop, or a copy of the software that we could load onto someone else laptop?

Hmm. Survey in Portugese caves/ocean or inland quarries in the UK. Sadly with most of us based in the UK we'll probably need to sort something out over here.

I have just spoken to Osama and he cannot commit to being a definite place on the trip as he has run out of holiday. Therefore he is happy for me to take his place and he moves onto the subs bench as first sub.

David, Can you please amend the first post to reflect this?

Looking forward to the 20th April...just hope the weather holds.
