Andy Kerslake will become famous soon enoughAndy Kerslake will become famous soon enough

Other stuff needed

We will need the following

2 x tapes
Line
Arrows
Plastic Boards (sketching, drawing etc)
Suitable paper

Cameras Still
Cameras Video
Laptops a plenty

The cameras/lights I know are covered. JAG has a large explorer reel which we ought to use, as its still virgin, and I have a large no of unused line arrows which can be used to mark the line.

I think David has 1 x tape, can I ask the rest of you to sort out three/four plastic boards (a la NAS) the paper, and 2 additional tape measures.

Is it worth adding a printer and a computer monitor/projector to your list (to save us all crowding round a laptop)? I have a laser printer I can bring along.

Obviously both are a little on the bulk side if they're not really needed. It's a big vessel, but there's presumably a limit to how much "delicate" stuff we can bring.

I'd be happy to lend a set of doubles - I've got nothing particularly useful in my third set, so it could be dumped and filled. Probably can't help much with the rest of the spare dive kit.

In terms of the boards, a plastic chopping board will probably be as cheap and sturdy as anything else and the normal size available from Tesco (and presumably other supermarkets) is a little bigger than A4. We've used them in the club for marshalling boards as we found that "wooden" type ones seem to delaminate and normal plastic ones are pretty fragile. Attaching a clip to them is a bit of a pain, but if I remember the NAS boards correctly, there wasn't a clip and we just used tape.

You sound like the expert on Plastic chopping boards - can U buy 4 and get a receipt, we will add to the cost of everything and then split.

A projector/screen would not be a bad idea, or a small TV perhaps?, any volunteers.

Since I will be bringing my Editing PC (for those of you on the Ireland trip, if you thought my laptop was silly, prepare to be amused) and I will bring the magic box that turns composite video into VGA, so we can use a LCD screen as a TV (and since the editing PC has 3 of those, I won't bring an extra)

I didn't understand a word of that, but does that mean we can watch video shot during the day on a big screen on the boat?

Okay guys seeing as I have organised your gas, most of the accomodation, line, line arrows etc - Can somebody buy the tapes we need. We only need two more and they are only around 20UKP each - they need to be ordered.

Search eBay for "Surveyors Tape". You can get 30m, 50m or 100m.
