![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | DUI latitude 30/30 Hi all, Two days ago I had the chance to dive a DUI latitude 30/30. It is their new design for mild climates. It is really a nice suit. I loved diving it. The suit is made of very light trilam. It has no boots. It has seals like the wrist on the legs. The suit gives a very enjoyable feeling like you are diving wet, only it has all the conveniences of being in a dry suit. I have slim hairy legs which do not allow for a good seal so I had little water coming in to my legs. Not too much though, like the normal wrist leaks. Trim was very easy to maintain because whenever gas went to the legs it simply came out of the legs. Funnily enough the air coming out of the suit went into the booties so most of the time my feet were nice and warm because they were dry. The most enjoyable of all was after the dive the suit dries quickly and you do not get that water stuck inside like a dry suit and it does not get stuffy and all. Of course this is not a good suit for Cold water diving, but it is definitely better than a semi dry and I would argue it beets a wet suit in hot weather. The only draw backs I can think of are the extra seals on the legs that you have to worry about and the water seeping in from the legs… Thats all.... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tried it here on the Red Sea, a freind of mine, Hassan Adly, got a prototype from the boat show in Germany. Yes when water comes out of the legs you do get water in. But not that much, it is like you do from the wrist seals. As for stocking them on my liveaboard, I will consider it if the price is right or I might have a similar design made through my prefered drysuit manufacturer. Probably by mid this year or next season. Now I am focusing on getting more scooters The good thing about it is that as a rental suit it can cover a big range of sizes as there is no boots to worry about |

![]() ![]() | Whites has such a tropical design for some years now... been considering one ever since (as a backup/tropical travel suit), but since it will see limited use in our climate I never really got one, but they indeed seem very nice for red sea diving or mexico cave diving... So I understand you also rent scooters then? interesting... ![]() |

Now we have three for rent and by mid season I hope to make them six. It is the only way to dive the Red Sea. You get to circle the reefs rather than just glimpse a side. Also you can do almost all the sites from the boat and back to the boat, no need to get in and out of inflatable boats. All that fining stuff is out dated ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi, I just noticed Faisal's post now.. (thanks for the writeup man!) As the dealer in Egypt for DUI, I have high hopes for this suit. So much so that despite the fact that we are about to enter the Egyptian hot season, we are preparing an order for at least 10 suits for our store. Despite the suit's very light weight (since it has no boots it's lighter than a TLS350), the material feels quite heavy duty. DUI went to lengths to make this suit affordable, mainly by reducing the number of seams, using a slightly thinner zip, replacing the protective outer zipper with an overlay flap, and some other production tricks. Nevertheless the quality doesn't suffer (it's still a DUI). The DUI website doesn't do enough to promote this suit, fortunately it sells itself. If anyone else here has tried the suit please post your comments! Hassan
