Size of 50W / 24W HIDs & reflectors

Can anyone let me know what the outside sizes of the 50W and 24W HIDs with reflectors are? Reflector width, reflector length, ballast width, overall length including bulb/ballast.
I'm looking to get a peli case for my camera and would like to try to ensure that the case doesn't become too small once I get some lights. I'll be able to see the sizes of strobes at the same time as looking at the cases but don't have any info on video light sizes.

Thanks,

David

David,

50W
Reflector width : 12 cm
Reflector length : 6 cm
Ballast width : 6,5 cm
Overall length including bulb/ballast (without E/O-cord) : 20 - 25 cm
The E/O doesn't bent easy at the base. Therefore the 5cm margin.

Reflectors for the 50W and the 24W are I think the same.

Gr, Stephan

Stephan. Thanks.

FWIW I didn't actually get a case at the weekend on the basis that trying to guess without the kit is a bit of a pain and any case that'll be big enough in future is probably be too large at the moment. I may have another think given your numbers.

"trying to guess without the kit is a bit of a pain"

It is, because you'll end up also with a lot off other stuff like spare bulbs, extra batteries, clamp, video arms, E/O-cords etc. that also needs to be packed.

"and any case that'll be big enough in future is probably be too large at the moment. "

You probably end up with small, medium sized and big cases ;-)
Depending on the trip and the kit I need, I pack and repack my cases.
I tried it otherwise by giving everything it's own place, but then I found myself sometimes taking too much unnecessary stuff on certain trips.
