| New Member | Care and Feeding of the Mini G ok.. So I got my new Mini G and took it out for a spin on the weekend. Great fun! Although, I've now got some questions re. the battery packs and cycling. I was wondering if there were any other Mini G owners on the forums that would be interested in sharing their experiences re. battery charging and cycling. My buddies here all have standard Gavins, so they're not much help with the nimh questions. ![]() Cheers Nick

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The main thing is to charge the two sides of the battery pack seperately by disconnecting the single cable red block connnector in the nose cone and then charging each of the three pin multiblocks separtely, one at a time. This stops any inequality of charging on the two sides of the pack. Does yours sink tail down? ![]()

| New Member | Howard, thanks for the response regarding the charging. Are you cycling the batteries to get a solid charge? Does yours sink tail down? I did some initial weighting tests on the weekend, and its frontend is quite buoyant (out of the box). The backend doesn't sink, but in my weighting test the scooter tended to go vertical on ascent. I put 500gms of weight on the frontend and it reduced the tendency of it to go quite so vertical. 1kg was too much weight for the frontend - so I'm guessing around 750gms may be the right weight.![]() I'll be playing around with it some more next weekend and hopefully get the weighting right. If you're interested, I'll ping you with my findings. Cheers, Nick

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just using the standard charger out of the box. I've got about 600 grams in the nose for fresh - haven't re-weighted it for salt yet. Not George's finest hour I have to say - needs a lot of fettling to get it diveable. Haven't measure the diameter - subjectively I'd say its almost exactly the same diameter as a standard faber 12l cylinder. A fair bit lighter and more compact than a short body. 75 mins burntime
