![]() ![]() | Importing Gavins to the EU Hello All, I'll be traveling to Florida in November, and I hope to bring back (to the EU - Portugal) a Gavinscooter :-) What is the "best" (i.e. most economical) method to import these into the EU; taking into account shipping / customs / taxes etc. Do you just simply check them in at Orlando (or whatever) ? or is there a formal export / import mechanism ? All info would be much appreciated; feel free to reply privately (ricardo@entrada.tv). Wish everybody a nice summer break ! Best, Ricardo |

| Doing It Caverkevin | Same thing, do not tell any body any thing. Few tips for packing up the gavin. Don't fly the batteries, not worth it. LL Bean's biggest duffle bag will fit a gavin. They were $127USD when I got them. Try and find a new home construction site in the US. Get the empty wooded wire reel for 1000feet of Romex and 4 - 1 foot pieces of 2x4. One of the circles from the wire reel will cover the prop. The four pieces of wood are used to make a small cradle for the scooter. Duct tape all the latches so they don't get broken. TSA will remove the tape to look inside, more than likely they will tape it back up with a bit of the TSA packing tape. Cheers Kevin |
