Review: Santi BZ400

My new Santi undersuit arrived recently and I was able to collect it from Marcin last night (great to meet you and thanks for your help). I haven't had the chance to dive it yet, so this is just a preliminary review.

I'm not sure what I expected, but folded up the suit looked massive. On picking it up, I was surprised by how heavy it was. I suppose the size and weight was reassuring really - perhaps an indicator of how warm it would be, like a thick duvet...

It felt comfortable on, and didn't notice any restriction of movement of my arms. It also appears to be as warm as it looks. In terms of 'build quality', I haven't had a close look, but it appears to be well made - time will tell I suppose.

Top marks also to Santi for throwing in a thinsulate hat. I keep losing mine so this was a welcome bonus

I will be diving with the suit tomorrow so expect more feedback soon.

If you go to Ocean-Discovery's website. They have a forum set up that has a nice review of the SANTI Undergarment with some good pics. Yes, you do have the register there.

Hi Tricky! Good to hear you like the suit - I'm really happy with mine so far (and will post a review when I've dived it a few more times). Where are you diving tomorrow?

I'm off to the NDC tomorrow - I need to get myself aquainted with my new wing, drysuit and undersuit before the real diving starts.

Sounds like a good plan! Just an off chance, but you don't fancy coming to Stoney Cove instead, do you? Or are you diving with NickB?

Soooooooo does your Santi suit look like the modified one or the origional one mentioned in the write up? The picks on the Santi site look like the old design they didnt like?
