| Gadevang Underwater Explorers | X-scooters europe Hey NG As all other divers I love gadgets, and right now I am interested in scooters .As I am mostly doing Wreck diving from a RIB I found that the light weight x-scooter would be almost perfect. But where to go? I am living in Denmark and it would be nice to have some prices including tax and so on, but I cant find any dealers ( except there online shop which do not include Danish or European taxes ) at Dive-Xtras homepage. What did you do? It would be great if there were a Scandinavian or German dealer, someone to call, as I don’t like the idea of just press “add to chart” and then pay 3800 USD + tax. Best Regards Anders Knudsen

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Anders, Have you considered the Gavin Scoters Mini G? It's a small, lightweight scooter that I think is ideal for boat diving. There's a picture of one here: http://www.gavinscooters.com/whatsnew.htm Cheers, Rich |

| Gadevang Underwater Explorers | Well, don’t really know why, but I don’t like the Gavin scooters ( might something with that it is the ONLY Dir scooter ) . My choice was x-scooter or SS and the SS is simply to heavy. What is the pricing of a Gavin mini compared to a X-scooter? I cant find any specifications on their homepage. How much do they weigh? Burn time? Tow points? The Gavins are might an opinion, as I have a local dealer, please enlighten me Anders Knudsen

Well, cost is similar to a short body.I cant find any specifications on their homepage. How much do they weigh? Burn time? Tow points? I just weighed one at 22.8kg, including batteries. I don't know the burn time as yet, but I can easily do a burn test. I'd expect a good hour, though. Not sure what you mean by tow points. It has the conventional webbing strap that you can pass the tow cord through if that's what you mean. Rich |

| Gadevang Underwater Explorers | It was, and I was thinking of an additional d-ring at the nose of the scooter, just for towing ( like the X ). An hour burn time would be great, as I think the 45 min burn time is a little short. How about O-rings? Is it sealed with one or two o-rings at each assembling point? ( motor-body, body-nose)

Rich If you have a new Mini I'd be really interested to see it as I was a bit frustrated at there not being a full spec on GI's site. Any time you want to do a Dorothea tour or something (winter months) I'd be up for it and if anyone wants to compare, we can take both down. We were there last month, viz is good; I'd post some pics but I dont know how :-) Cheers Chris B |
