![]() ![]() ![]() | New F1 Season Alright sports fans, with only 84 more days till the start of the F1 season, I'd like to get some of your picks for who you think will win it all this year. Who is going to have the best V8 powerplant this year? Will Renault stay at the top or will Ferrari make it back to greatness? And what about Jaques, will he continue to bitch and make excuses about his car while being outpaced by another team mate? Will Juan be consistant? Oh, and we can't forget that we finally have an American back in the series...any opinions on how Scott Speed will do? What do you guys think...lay it on me? :D |

| GUE Instructor Site Admin | Thank God for that - if the F1 season is starting again I can go diving on a Sunday without my husband sulking too much... When it is the Australian Grand Prix I better find a night dive ![]()

Kimi is my vote but I dont think it will happen (again) ![]() |

What do you guys think...lay it on me? :D Well, I am a diehard Honda fan so I hope they do well (although I wish that they'd given the drive to Anthony Davidson). I am looking forward to seeing Rubens in a Honda. As for new V8s, there might be surprises from Cosworth and Toyota. I am also very curious about the Redbull/Ferrari V8 combo. I hope Ferrari never make it back... This would seem highly unlikely since, apart from being a very well run team, they are in bed with the FIA and, with the withdrawal of Michelin at the end of 2006, will have an unfair tire advantage in 2007. And frankly it would just be embarrassing if they can't come back in 2006, even with Schumacher and all the Philip Morris money. Nick Heidfeld will destroy Jacques. Juan is just a big liability for Kimi and McLaren - he's not a team player like Coulthard or Fisi. I think McLaren will be ok if Juan is in front and leading the championship but if Kimi is leading the championship, having Montoya as a teammate is not going to help. I think Kimi "deserves" to win the championship but I will be very happy if Fisi takes it (unlikely as it may seem). All the Kimi/Valentino rumours aside, Ferrari should just pair Fisi with Massa for 2007... Speed did well in GP2 so he should do well, given a good car, in F1. Of course he will be using a "detuned" V10 so it will be interesting. Last edited by Vie; December 18th, 2005 at 02:57 PM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The perfect season for me would be Jensen Button winning the world title, Rikanan taking up golf (God he is a boring driver for a hell raiser and his winning speeches could bore a priest to death) and Baracallo beating Shumacker for second place in some nail biting finishing. Alonso can do what he likes he's OK but doesn't get my vote. ATB Mark Chase |
