  | WTF - Seasearch Just copying a post of mine from another thread... Stand on soapbox... In short it's looking at and recording the Marine life around our shores, by divers. If you want to dump alot of crap in the countryside, you will be stopped, if you want to dump a load of crap in the sea ... go ahead, who cares?  The marine life is being fished to oblivion (imagine trawling the country side and dragging up cows / sheep / trees / rabbits / pheasants etc keeping the cows and just throwing the rest away dead and damaged), barges dump at sea (imagine a plane flying over your house and just dumping sewage at random), tankers flush their tanks ( I think you are getting the idea!). We know very little about whats under our seas, or the damage we do. A few of us (ie divers) have a view of the world that the majority will never see (underwater). We being the minority need to educate the masses to save our seas for our children/grandchildren. Step off soap box..... www.seasearch.org.uk |
