| New Member | Hello all from me, the one with aparently the least listed dives!! Padi AOW, w/ wreck, nitrox and deep specs, and looking to do the booked DIR-F in Portlan in December to push what I know now into what I want to know later. Just going over to twinsets/wing etc, and will be getting those bad boys rigged for an orientation dive prior to the fundies sometime over the next dew days. Love diving, and hate politics. Particularly dive politics (agency bashing). As we all love to be underwater, it doesn't matter a toss to me where you qualified, just as long as you are safe. I tey to dive as often as possible, barring silly things like personal life getting in the way. May dive with some of you soon!!!

Being happy and neutrally buoyant in your kit will make fundies somewhat easier. (I tried a twinset for the first time on fundies - total disaster!!!) Cheers Al |

| New Member | well the course starts on the 9th and I am hoping to dive the new twins this week, or next at the latest. I don't think I will be used to them..........god.......it's going to be a nerve wracking few diving weeks.

The main thing is to get as much out of it as possible - it's all about your development. Not about the end pass. And I really believe it. I got a provisional, worked with neilh for a few weekends and got the pass andtbh it was a bit of an anticlimax! What I learned was what was worth doing it for. Feel free to ask away on here. It's a bit safer! |

Don't be afraid of ditching the twins for the course if you're not comfortable with them tho - you can do the course with a single and you'll have more than enough to challenge you without being unhappy with your rig as well ![]() |

| New Member | cheers for the good luck. As for the twins: although they will be new, I have been blessed with an ability to pick up all things diving quite quickly, so I am hoping to get the basics nailed before the course. I spoke to Rich W. the other day and he told me that anything more than 1 dive in them will be a bonus. I figure "train hard, fight easy", so if I learn on the twins, then I can grow from there. Any tips you can provide are more than welcome......so keep them coming.
