paultoomer is on a distinguished road

Hi there,

My name is Paul Toomer and I run an Advanced Training Facility called Diving Matrix here in London and I am also partners in another technical facility called Techwise in Malta.

We recently had the pleasure of Gareth Lock and Howard Payne's company and that is the reason I am now on this very cool site.

I am an IANTD, TDI and DSAT Instructor Trainer and since G & H's visit I think I may now have a little peek at the GUE system.

If you are into pristine wrecks in blue water around the 30 to 100 metre mark then this place will blow your minds.

Check out Gareth's article in this forum (If Carlsberg Made Normoxic Wrecks...Malta Would be the Place... (Long)) and if you are after any advice, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I massively enjoyed diving with the two geezers and I hope to see more of you out here in wreck heaven.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul,

Welcome to the forum. Great to see another dive facility opening it's doors to GUE. It makes everything so much simpler and enjoyable when you know what we're on about.

I learnt to dive in Malta with Maltaqua back in 2002. I have been hooked ever since a brief look at the El Faroud superstructure on my 11th dive.

I was thinking of maybe combining a family holiday with a few days Tech 1/32% doubles diving in late summer 2010. I expect we'll be knocking on your door. I'm not too famailiar with the island, but is there a beach resort style area you can recommend where I can leave the wife and kids for a few days?

Steve Clark

Hi again,

Steve
Mate, if you can give ma a buzz sometime I will get your wife and kids sorted and we can go play on the wrecks. My email is paul@divingmatrix.co.uk
We have several hotels around our centre and I am positive we will find you something. From Hostel to 5 star hotels are abundant. We are actually based in the Dragonara, which is a 5 star all singing all dancing resort.

Hi there Clare, how are you doing?

And H, thank you again mate. I will try my level best to be there on your dives in August.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Was a pleasure to meet you & dive the Um El Faroud with Alan, you & the rest one week ago. Next time I'll be properly geared & do a "diving only" trip to Malta, surely with Techwise.

Paul Burgess will become famous soon enough

Hello Paul,

You certainly won't remember me but you sold me my first pair of fins back in 2000 when I was a very green novice! (I did an OW course with Robbie Renalson).

Those Maltese wrecks look great. I have been out to St Julians a couple of times with work. Need to remember my dive gear next time!

Mate,
I am sure I remember you. Very good to hear from you.
What are you up to now mate?
Robbie works up at Midlands Dive Chamber if you ever want to get in contact with him, he is still exactly the same!

Let me know when you are out again and we can go have a play.

Paul
