Easydiver is on a distinguished road

Hola,
I have not taken any DIR courses, does that mean all my courses were doing it wrong? JK. Ok so stats, have about 80 dives, currently enrolled in Padi Divemaster, next course is TDI intro to tech or basic doubles. then Adv nitrox / deep and maybe some form of DIR course. plan after that is to dive till I feel I must have trimix.

I have noticed that there are not any instructors in Texas for DIR. maybe that is because there are no caves and no deep wrecks, maybe that is cause we only have steers and queers. whatever the reason I am not against traveling to Florida.

So I am all for doing it right, I am also a miscreant non conformist, so as long as it makes sense I will chant the mantra. so go ahead fill my empty brain with how to do it right and if I call BS on something please take the time to knock me back in place and explain why I am a moron.

goals: Be a wreck diver, the best instructor on the planet, own a charter boat.

on a social note, I am Buddhist, Christian, Jewish (all in moderation), I am married and have 5 kids, (13-27) they have all been diving. favorite dive spot to date - BVI , other passions, snowboarding, Catamaran racing, photography, cooking, my wife & kids, moutainbiking, woodworking , welding. I have at times brewed beer, raised bees, re-built cars, gardened...

For a living I am an IT manager. sheesh not sure why I said all that now tell me about yourselves

Welcome.

We won't hold the IT thing against you though

I would personally miss the intro to tech and do fundies in a twinset. You will get more out of it.

Sounds like you have a variety of interests and activities, much like many of us on this forum.

If you have any questions about the DIR way or classes, please let us know.
