Another Hellfin

Hello.

I've been lurking in the background for some time, but finally registered yesterday so that I could add my name to the DIRx gig in October. An eagle-eyed member spotted me and asked me to introduce myself.

So...

I am Scott (SJT). I learnt to dive with PADI in 2003 and started diving regularly in 2005. I am a PADI Rescue Diver (well, Master Scuba actually!) and a newbie member of Hellfins London - a really friendly and active BSAC club.

I've done around 140 dives so far and have managed 55 so far this year. I currently dive a single 12, but am in the process of changing over to twin 12s to go with my new Halcyon Evolve - which I have had for a couple of weeks, but has yet to get wet!

I'm obviously not diving DIR (yet), but I like what I've read about the concept and am interested in learning more about it. I'm just about to start the BSAC Dive Leader course and am hoping to do the DIR Fundies course (with Clare G) at some point before spring 2008.

Well, that's about it for now.

Welcome to DIRx.

What does the 'S' stand for, starting a post with SJT doesn't seem right

I wonder if the JT is John Thomas, if so, I can understand why you want to keep that bit quiet!!
