tlessard will become famous soon enough

Hello, My Name is Trey...

I was introduced to diving in April of 2001 by my best friend who promptly died the next day of an unrelated incident. Initially diving in his memory, I quickly grew to love the sport and worked my way up through advanced over a period of about a year and 100 dives. I was fortunate enough to meet a wonderful woman that became my wife and fell in love with diving as well. We went on to complete Rescue and DM together and have had loads of fun diving.

I got the technical bug fairly early on and always wanted to do more risky (but calculated) and rewarding diving. I finally got out of my jacket BC and decided that OMS was the way to go and ordered an IQ Pack and a 45# bungee wing. I dove the rig in various single and doubles configurations for about a year without mishap, but didn't do much in the way of tech diving. Nothing more than about 15 minutes of deco on air and nothing deeper than about 150 ft. I spent the last 2 years building a CCR rebreather out of a Dolphin, but the training and guidance just didn't work out...

I'm here because I want to be a safe technical diver. I want to do it right so that I can come home from my adventures and help make sure that my buddies do the same. Special thanks to the folks who have been influential in my transition to DIR and into a serious technical diving candidate. I look forward to the knowledge and wisdom that I'm sure this forum will impart.

Thank you,
Trey

Sounds like you where enjoying yourself! But home builds really can suck.

You do understand that DIR training is not a vest that will ward away accidents don't you?

As far as I knew, CCR wannabes ARE serious technical diver candidates

Time will tell.

I remember Trey from RBW when he was planning to dive his CCR-Dolphin on the Andrea, I hope you have better luck diving it as a "DIR-diver"...

Trey,

I understand exactly how you feel. An ex-girlfirend of mine said that said she would leave me if I went on another dive holiday. I went, came back home and found that she had emptied my bank account and run off to the US.Very difficult time but I pulled through.

Any how, well done (above) and you should make alot of friends on this forum.

Ali
