New here.

Good afternoon all.

Just logged in and this will be my first post here.

I'm 6'6" and 320lbs, I work as a Systems Administrator II for the Mississippi Library Commission. I have a wife and a baby boy on the way in July. I really enjoy diving and was certified in June of last year. I'm only OW certified but, I'm working on and working out to get into shape for
Fundies at the end of this year or the first of next year.

I live in 0-viz country aka.. Mississippi USA. Closests place to dive around here is on the Alabama/Florida coast. At least for salt water, for fresh it's Alabama Blue Water Adventure in Pelham AL.

I'm still a noob but, a noob with a BP/W. Just purchased a BP/W setup from Deep Sea Supply Home Page. Long pattern SS back plate, 30# LCD wing and the hog harness. I'm slowly but, surely purchasing all of the gear I need. As stated, I have the BP/W and I have a pair of ScubaPro Jets too. I just paid for an XScuba brass and glass SPG with PSI markings. Also, I'm getting ready to purchase my first doubles setup. Faber FX-133's double setup. Can't wait to get those in. I'm also in the process of purchasing my back up lights. Working on limited income really sucks in this sport but, by the time I'm ready to take my Fundies, I'll have everything I need.

Otherwise, thanks for the chance to register and login here. hope to not bore everyone with questions and comments.

Thanks again and hope to gain more knowledge from all of you and become friends/fellow divers with you all as well.

Thanks,

Michael

I've already read a lot and I'm seriously drooling over everything.

Thanks for the welcome. I hope to become part of the crowd that hangs out here.

Thanks! Get stuck? To late for that. I've already read quite a few. Even before I registered.

Thanks,

Michael

Welcome aboard. If you have not bought back-up lights yet I suggest taking a strong look at Chuck Noe's Photon Torpedo's. Heck of a light at a good price.
Cheers;
Bill

hi there. if you are trying to prioritize your buying, you may wish to get the essential items (regs, spool, lift bag, etc.) before backup lights. you could get by without lights diving off the florida coast.
