  | Here goes... Love this forum so far. I expect it will grow fast and will pass the word to the S. Florida contingent. I've been all but out of diving this past year but expect that to change with the next. P.S. I've noticed the heavy English presence here. While the text is all the same I have no idea what you guys are talking about half the time. If someone could put up a glossary of terms somewhere that would be appreciated.  |

| GUE Instructor Site Admin  | I know what you mean about translation.... George Irvine's quote sometimes go down over here as a bit harsh.... One of our guys did a transalation from this.... he said I can post it here. "I did not pull this stuff out of my ass while sitting around smoking a joint - I know what I am talking about from dealing with it. I don't do aborted dives and I don't come back from dive after dive with a long face and list of excuses. I do my thinking it all the way out before I get in the water and that is why JJ and I have the track record for getting the job done, and that is why I insist that the rest of my team does it my way or stays out of the water. We don't have the problems the rest of diving has because we think it all the way through, and that is what is called "DIR" to this... ”Well you know, I've done a spot of diving. So far, although I say so myself it's gone rather well, had the odd hiccup and of course I'm nowhere near the level experience of you chaps, but all things considered I haven't done too badly. I don't like to make a fuss about my humble achievements in fact it's a bit embarrassing, but there are a couple of things I've thought of that I find help and if everyone is on the same page of the book of common prayer, well you know, things seem to run a bit more smoothly. Naturally you chaps may see things differently but I hope you don't mind me running a couple of ideas up the old flag pole and seeing what you think. I actually feel quite strongly about all of this, but I'm certainly open to suggestions by the way I've called my collection of ideas "JATBPWCTITW" Just A Thought But Perhaps We Could Try It This Way” :D Welcome - hope you enjoy the site
