Hi from Belfast

I've probably made a faux pas by not doing this before I started posting but anyway..

I learn't to dive at my university BSAC club about 7 years ago but haven't really done that many dives..

I first heard about DIR from a mate who thought it was all hilarious and described it to me as some sort of cult. I looked it up on the net and it in fact made a lot of sense to me. I have to admit that until very recently I have focussed mainly on the kit aspects and have been bit by bit replacing gear (thanks for ebay!). I hadn't been diving for the last 2 years or so and got the opportunity to take a place that came up on a DIRF course, I decided that I would get something out of it even if I was a bit rusty. That experience has demonstrated to me the importance of all the other elements important to make the DIR package. Its seems for DIR to work effectively the devil is in the detail so i'm here to see what I can pick up.

regards,
steve.
