Hi folks

This looks like the right place to read and learn more about DIR.

I'm only recently qualified as a diver having reached PADI AoW this year, now diving mostly with my eldest son who trained at the same time as me.

No real skills developed yet obviously but not too many bad habits either I hope

What I've seen so far about DIR appeals to my logical side which some of the standard PADI approach did not. Can't knock it though as it has got me diving , but from here onwards I'd like to see if DIR offers the kind of logical , safety / simplicity approach that that will help me enjoy my diving more as I gently progress.

I plan to read a lot and say little for now as I soak up the knowledge on the forums.

Hey there,

Welcome to the board, you're certainly in right place for what you want.

You will find a wealth of knowledge and experience here, a fair bit of light hearted banter also.

Get stuck and ask any questions you have, you will get courteous and sensible answers no matter how simple the question may seem to you.

Enjoy your stay.

Cheers

Hey Mark, nice to have you with us over here. I found this the perfect place to ask for help, advice and just to discuss anything DIR.

I take it you are the same MarkT as on UKDivers forum?
