![]() | Hello from Sheffield / Queensland! Hello – another one from the Sheffield clan, although at the end of August I’m moving to Queensland (Townsville) for three years to do lots of warm water diving and, if time allows, a PhD. I learnt to dive 5 years ago in Cornwall, before spending three months counting fish in the Indian Ocean. The last 4 years I’ve been diving with Sheffield Uni BSAC, where I was introduced to DIR. I’ve since been become increasingly guey, and have accumulated lots of shiny kit (still holding out for yellow jetfins ). I’m hoping to do DIRF when time and money allow… I guess that means in oz now! No plans to go down the tech route, and it is highly improbable that you will ever get me in a cave. Fishes and reefs are where it’s at… although I confess I’m coming to quite like wrecks too. It would be great to hear from anyone diving in Queensland, as currently I have no buddies in that part of the world! Becks |
