Pete will become famous soon enough

Hello

Glad to finally be a part of things here. I have read this forum for quite some time, but never got around to registering. Got a GUE trained friend who gave me the basics to everything about DIR, and answered many questions that I had from the past couple of years. However she gave me the basics and left me in search of more detailed information. So I guess I’ll be doing the DIR-F class after all. Definitely have the equipment "disease" and enjoy trying and reading about new bits and pieces. I “learned” to dive in the south of France in the late 80’s, got certified years later in the Netherlands

Be gentle with me folks...
Peter

Welcome Pete!!

Gotta ask about the avatar. I like the DS4 and MK20or25, what is up with those hoses. You working on a piece of modern art? Serious, it looks like parts were cut and pasted on top of each other. You have a larger image you can share??

Cheers!!

Kevin

I thought so!

The fun thing is that your cut and paste job works pretty good in real life!!

I used to run two MK20's, but the smaller center space on the d12's caused the hoses to overlap too much. Then I switched to two DS4's, but that did not owrk off so hot on a dual outlet, single tank valve. Now I dive the DS4 right and the MK20 left and it works perfect noo matter what tanks I am diving.

Man you must be bored to make somthing like that.....Go diving :D

Cheers!!

Kevin

PS got any caves near your shop and how are those wrecks??

Had some spare time, didn’t want to get wet that day. I know, people do bizarre things sometime. Got to eat now, this is the Netherlands diner at 18:00 or else! Will be back for the wreck’s and cave’s, promise.

Okay Kevin caves close to my shop. To begin with, the website I’m running is not linked to an actual dive centre or shop, its just there to inform the public. Many divers are not aware of the diving possibilities in this part of Spain.
So caves, well there is one for a cave dweller like you, the Moraig cave system. I could tell you a couple of things but there is excellent description available
http://www.weber-joerg.de/moraig_original.htm

There are many more even some which are accessible from land. The series of small caves we found over the last couple of years did not lead us to a tunnel system comparable to that of Moraig. But there out there, With hundreds of kilometres of rocky coastline the appeal for divers is obvious.

Same story with the wrecks, John Liddiard made an article for divernet in 2003.
http://www.divernet.com/travel/0403spain.htm
I've done all of the wrecks except the Sirio.

PS: I have never thought about running a DS4 and MK20/25 together, but I will try it tomorrow. I’m using d7’s in the Netherlands with a even smaller center space. Thanks, you’re the man.
