![]() ![]() ![]() | Lurker Drops In... Afternoon all. As the World Cup has already got boring, I thought I'd say hello. It's only been about a year of pestering to get me on here, so here I am. Many of you in the UK will probably know me, some even dived with me, and hopefully I've not pissed enough of you off to still be welcome. I don't dive DIR, I'll be straight on that one, I dive a KISS. But I do have a lot of time for some of the ideas, so credit where it's due. I was recently desbribed as DIR's antichrist, but I don't think I'm that bad. I will promise to play nice too, I have been guilty of winding DIR divers up a bit on other forums, sometimes in jest, othertimes because I felt I should. This is your house, and I'll consider myself a guest. I do have some equipment to sell over the next few weeks and months too, some of it DIR compliant or useful to DIR divers, so if I may I'll post an ad in the personals in a mo. Digs. |

| Doing It Caverkevin | Digger, Seen you on other boards, namely RBW. I would not talk like a KISS reb is a negitive. The function of a KISS make tons more sense than a electronic thing making choices of what you are breathing. I have these wierd ideas of a KISS/DIR fussion one day. Where a diver has doubles and sidemounted MCCR's. With enough OC gas to cover the issues, a easily deployed long hose for the buddies and the abilities to do difficult dives. Hope you don't mind if I ask you some questions about the finer points of a CK one of these days. I am hoping to get some training on that unit in the near future. Cheers!! ![]() ![]() ![]() | Fair enough, I suppose it's about as close to a DIR CCR as you're likely to get. Still some way from acceptance I think! If you need to know anything just PM or post, I know Zak is on here too and can help with anything which I've not found out for myself yet! Digs. |

I know that quite a few people here and elsewhere have gone from DIR to the KISS, and statistically people seem to favour the KISS rather than (say) the Inspiration but (sadly) I doubt that any CCR is going to be DIR soon.Janos

I don't know, go away for three days and the board goes right downhill ![]() Jack Moon - always sounded more like a porn star than a diver to me DIR Antichrist though? Nah, met much worse than you.Welcome to the boards - where you are most welcome to contribute. Detailed discussions on the KISS are best directed via PM or to www.rebreatherworld.com however.

What like, dont eat choccy before a CCR dive, the burp stays in the loop for sodding ages? (also applies to curry). No CCR is going to make it as DIR. The galvanic oxygen cells are widely regarded as just too unreliable in the DIR world. <shrugs> |
