MNDiver is on a distinguished road

Smile Hello from Lakeville, MN:-))

Hi my name is Chris. I'm getting back into diving after about a 15 year layoff. I started researching the internet forums a few months ago and came across the DIR philosphy of diving. I ordered the DIR fundimentals book from GUE. Everything in the book made allot of sense to me. I have been visting a few local dive shops in Minnesota and asked them about DIR. They all seemed to have a very negative attitude regarding DIR. I'm a little bit discouraged but I'm not going to let their negative attitude turn me away from DIR. Does anyone know of any Dive shops in MN that are knowlegable and offer DIR training.

Thanks in advance for the help,

Chris

cantinadiver will become famous soon enough

check out www.halcyon.net as they've got a couple of diveshops listed that retail halcyon gear-doesn't necessarily mean they're DIR but at least it's the right direction.

hiya! i'm originally from Faribault (a bit south of you). I'm now in Milwaukee. We have some shops in the area that sell Halcyon stuff. If you're in the area, let me know.

There is a group of divers out of Rodcester (spelling) that follow dir principles. I believe one or two of them post here.
