![]() ![]() | Hi Al, Lots of wonderful stuff ... huge virgin wrecks laying in tranquil clear waters just waiting to be explored. Tell your friend to come over !!! ... better still, why don't you join him. Just unbelievable stuff … Andy has been over a couple of times and he just can’t get enough of it ![]() But please don’t go around telling everybody about it, it's a bit of a secret ! Best, Ricardo |

![]() ![]() | Seriously .... ![]() There are a couple of decent known wrecks in the T1 range, that are dived regularly. I’m sure there are many more “secret” ones that only a handful of guys know about but won’t tell anybody else. And a lot more just waiting to be found – there must be !!! - even considering that it drops deep pretty close to shore, and that the winter storms will hammer any structure – I just keep reminding myself that Portugal has a very long maritime history and has always had major ports … so lots of work to be done ! A couple of us are searching for and identifying wrecks in Galiza, Spain (OK, it’s not Portugal per se, but it’s just north of the border ! ).The (few) caves that exist are also deep ! Please come over, I’m sure you will have a great time !!! – below and above water.Feel free to give me a shout if you do make it over. Best, Ricardo |

![]() ![]() | ... almost forgot to mention the Azores !!! ... "our" crown jewel. It's just waiting to be explored ... there are just a couple of tourist oriented dive shops, it's even difficult to get nitrox. Earlier this year we were playing with the idea of setting up a T1 (Portugal's first !) there this summer, but the logistics and multiple variables quickly made us opt for a "easier" location : Algarve in June. But for sure we will organize a mix expedition there sometime soon !!! Take care, Ricardo |

![]() | Ricardo, I plan to visit Lisbon this spring (tourism rather that diving), it would be nice to meet you there even if only to take a coffee. Last december I was also going to visit the M/V TAla, I finally had the chance to take T1 on the same dates, but this year I expect not to forgive it!! Enrique |
