DIR Explorers - the next step in DIR Diving!

Welcome back Unregistered

DIR diving is a fast growing approach to diving. Be it technical or recreational, wreck, cave or reef, DIR diving can be relevant to the diving that you do. Jump in on our DIR forums, find out more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

DIRX is a DIR diving forum run by DIR divers for both DIR divers and those who are interested in learning more about our approach to diving. There is a lot of information around on the internet about DIR, we hope to bring it together here, at DIRX, into one resource which each of us can use.

So look around, tell us who you are, what you would like to see from DIRX, ask some questions, post reports of diving that you have done, or would like to do.

Safe Diving all from Graham Blackmore, Brian Allen and all of us in the DIRX Team.

» Alabama coast and pan handle Florida

Mar 13, 2015 - 6:32 PM - by SonicStomp
Hi guys,

In May I move to the Montgomery area of AL. Any DIR/GUE divers or clubs active in that general area (either inland or on the coast)?

What's the diving like off the AL / pan handle coast? Looks like there are a number of decent wrecks.

» Tail Weight

Feb 19, 2015 - 4:10 AM - by chrisb07
I have put together a 9 lbs tail weight by bolting together pieces of lead. This is not too pretty and was wondering whether anyone has any idea where I could find a tail weight of at least 9 lbs. I have done some googling and could not find anything available in the US. Any thoughts appreciated. Cheers, Christophe

BSAC has commissioned an independent research study with an award-winning digital agency. BSAC recognises how important it is for the organisation to have a robust digital strategy and this research phase is crucial to build a picture of what is needed.

As well as for existing and past members, the survey is an open invite to divers that have never been members of BSAC, to.have their say Feedback from the whole diving community will help BSAC understand how it can use... [Read More]

» Looking for buddies for a couple of days in Mexico

Feb 08, 2015 - 7:21 PM - by galobeast
Hi All, I am a cave 1 diver who will arrive in Puerto Aveturas a couple of days early for some diving in the Mexican Cenotes and I was wondering if there are any teams around who could accommodate an extra diver on 2 and 3 May 2015. I am arriving on 1 May at night and will drive down to stay at Zero Gravity. From 4 May my buddies will arrive (they are coming from Australia and I am in Colombia at the moment so decided to take the chance).

Thank you for your support and hope this... [Read More]
