DIR Explorers - the next step in DIR Diving!

Welcome back Unregistered

DIR diving is a fast growing approach to diving. Be it technical or recreational, wreck, cave or reef, DIR diving can be relevant to the diving that you do. Jump in on our DIR forums, find out more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

DIRX is a DIR diving forum run by DIR divers for both DIR divers and those who are interested in learning more about our approach to diving. There is a lot of information around on the internet about DIR, we hope to bring it together here, at DIRX, into one resource which each of us can use.

So look around, tell us who you are, what you would like to see from DIRX, ask some questions, post reports of diving that you have done, or would like to do.

Safe Diving all from the DIRX Team.

G'Day Guy's,

I have been diving for about 3 Years now, racking up about 500+ Dives in that time. I work as a commercial diver however I work as a DM during my time off.

I am looking into doing Cav/Sink sometime this year and also start looking into some other "technical" courses.

I have always been impressed with the DIR outlook on diving so I am trying my best to become less ******.

Currently Run a Hollis BP Setup, Steel... [Read More]

Hi All,

I've been a follower of the site for some time, but finally Joined up, I did my Fundies and Tech 1 training in Australia with Liam, but am originally from Leicester and am moving back to the UK to work In Scapa for a few months.
Haven't done a T1 dive in a while and have only clocked 12 so far, but looking forward to brushing up, and continuing to work on my skills,... [Read More]

Hi. My name is Beecher, and Im actually new to diving, but had decided that I was going to dive DIR right from Day 1. If I was going to do it, I was going to do it correctly, and as safely as possible.

Ive been lerking around the cite for about 4 months now, and learned alot, and figured it was about time I actually joined.

I do 99% of my diving locally in the great lakes, between Lake Erie, and Lake Ontario, and plan on getting into wreck diving when my skills get... [Read More]

Hi fellow divers

I've just recently been pointed towards this forum in order to try and track down Graham Blackmore, GUE Instructor based in Hong Kong. I have to travel to HK at the end of the month and want to organise going for a dive during the short time i have free while there. I was pushed this direction from another forum - scubadive.net.nz

Any help would be apreciated heaps - promise to intro myself better soon.

Hello All

I thought it was time that I introduced myself on this Forum.

I've been aware of DIR for about a decade but it didn't really appeal to me. However that has changed and I've become more curious because of a trend I've observed over the last couple of years. A plethora of very flat, highly skilled, intelligent divers who've actively gravitated to GUE and they are obviously enjoying it. "There's got to be something in this" I thought. Then... [Read More]

Hello all. I have been reading this board for quite a while, just realized that have forgot to post a proper introduction. I've been diving several years in recreational level (CMAS ***, nitrox etc.), I'm very interested about technical and cave diving and have been looking some new challenges to improve my diving skills. After reading about GUE education I feel it could be the right path for me to continue my diving education. I got fundies booked for summer and hoping to be able to continue... [Read More]

Hi all,

Thought it was about time I joined in the DIRX fun...

I've diving since Aug 2007 when I was bought a PADI OW course for a 30th bday present. This turned into an obsession which also led to me meeting my now new husband, Garf.

Naturally as you can imagine building an interest in DIR ways came rapidly after meeting. Doing Fundies was within 6 months of the wedding was in the terms and conditions of the marriage so I'm signed up for June this... [Read More]
