![]() | Unregistered? Every time I open the direxplorers homepage, I am greeted as unregistered - It appears you have not yet registered with our community, although I have ticked the option to be remembered. Then I log in and I get the ususal "Thank you for logging in" message, but then I am taken back to the homepage, where I am "unregistered" again. However, I am actually logged in because when I move away from the home page, I get all the "registered and logged in" privileges. Then if I browse again to the homepage during this same session, I am now finally greeted by my username. Same problem with IE or Firefox. I tried different machines. I checked the cookie settings, I deleted the cookies, I tried all the usual stuff - no chance. It has been like that for quite a few months now, but it didn't use to be. Not a major problem, just mildly annoying. Any clue?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Dave I have a similar thing on my work PC, but not my home PC. They are both running the same browser and OS versions (Vista and Firefox or IE). The difference is in the configuration of the browsers. I know you checked cookie settings - but the difference between the machines is in the security settings. The work PC is configured to delete all session content when it the browser is closed (files, applets and cookies). This means that even though you click the "remember me" option the persistent cookie is deleted by the browser at exit. Hence the need to log in again.. It may be the same with your system. Thread Hijack! How's Dubai? May be out in October.. too hot right now (Was in Cairo for work last week.. amazing how quickly you adapt to the cold of Europe)

![]() | I can't see anything that would cause that in my browser settings: My Firefox settings: 1) Privacy: - history: all boxes ticked on, remember last visited pages for 9 days - cookies: accept until they expire - private data: always clear is unticked and ask me before clearing is ticked 2) Security: - warn when sites try to install add-ons - tell me if the site I visit is a suspected forgery, using a dwonloaded list of suspect files - remember passwords for sites - don't use a master password Even if I lost my cookies and stuff when I close the browser, why is it that right after logging in I am brought back to the unregistered homepage. Doesn't make sense does it? Keri if you come to Dubai, give your dates well in advance so we can book you on the trips of the local dive club. I expect I will not be in Dubai the last two weeks of October. Not sure yet about early October.

| New Member | For some reasons, I could not get my Opera browser to handle this site. It was very strange how it displayed things, if it would load at all. I solved the problem by switching over to Firefox (just because of this site) It´s a shame, I really liked the Opera browser. |

![]() | Quote: I had the same problem as I entered the page typing "direxplorers.com". Since I type "www.direxplorers.com" it all works as it should. You're right! Same here. If I type www.direxplorers.com, it all works as normal...
