Shiney's - get your shineys here!

Well what are those Shiney things every one talks about!

Basically they are your reputation - what other members of the site think of you.

If you see a post or an article that helped you, you think is well written, or helps the community as a whole - then give some repuation to the author!

Next to the Post on the left hand side you should see a little green square - if you click on it then the author gets some reputation and you can leave them a comment.

Alternatly if you see a Troll be sure to reward them with some negative rep or if it is blatent then hit the red button and it will report the post to the moderators.

Now how much reputation you leave some one depends on three things!

1 - How long you have been a member.
2 - How many posts have been made.
3 - Most Important how high your reputation is!

Well get giving those shineys out!

And if (like me ) you're sad enough to want to know the Rep Rankings.

Go to the members list and click on the column heading "Reputation" it will sort the members list by Reputation, Highest First.

Congrats Gledders you're Number 1, but we all knew that anyway :D

I'm just loving how here, on this very clearly DIR forum, the member with the highest reputation just now is Daz who has been DIR since "When Hell Freezes Over".
