Access to pvt messages

When I log on, the prompt appears if there is a pvt message. When I click ok to view, Im asked to enter my user name/password to view. I keep getting returned to log in page?? Anyone else experiencing this?

What browser are you using?

they seem to be working normaly for me. Try clearing your browsers cache and cookies.

Tools, Internet Options, Delete Cookies & Delete Files.

especially if you want to clear all the cookies from your other web sites as well..

don't do that..

do this:

assuming IE 6.

Click Tools,
select Internet Options (dialog box opens)
middle of box - Click Temporary Internet Options - select Settings (another dialog box opens).
towards bottom of box Click View Files - (Explorer window opens)
click on explorer window, then press F3.
type "DIRExplorers" in search box and search.
delete everything that it finds - which will include your cookies for DIRx. Select just the cookies to delete if you'd prefer.

Just about to test myself...

edit: tried it myself and the above works - plus also..

you will need to close any instances of IE that are pointing to DIRX.
you then 'may' need to select the DIRx cookie found, right click, select 'open containing folder' and delete the version the new explorer window highlights.

In addition to willbos excellent and correct advise, try logging out (physically click on "log out") then log back in.

After years of dealing with computer systems (somewhat more specialised than this) all I'll say is "you'll never cease to be suprised by how many logical fixes fail".

Anyway, hopefully 'the paw' is now able to access his PM's. Welcome back jack, nice to see you're recovering.
