Once I decide that I'm not interested in a particular thread, how can I stop it appearing in my "new posts" view?

Toby, I am not sure that this is possible in this version to 'Ignore Thread' which I believe is what you are looking at. I have looked at YD and they too don't have this option. All you can do is Ignore a User.

I will PM stuart and point him to this thread and see what he says.
