Site not remembering me

Is anyone else having issues with the site not remembering them?

Using Internet Explorer it seems fine but now and again Firefox forgets me. I seem to have to log in at least a couple of times a day. I'm having this issue on another forum also. I guess it's a tracking cookie or something that's not being downloaded.

Firefox (Mac version at least) has quite good privacy protection options. It's probably deleting the cookie; maybe when you close the browser down. Check your browser settings.

Firefox working fine for me on a PC here.

Probably is just a cookie setting though.

JB2Who?

Odd that it JUST started - but... Mozilla just pushed out a firefox update (about 2 days ago? Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 look in help - about to see if you have been updated)), it's possible that if you clicked to accept this it stuffed up and you need to uninstall FF and re-install probably

BUT before that check in tools -> options -> cookies and check that it looks like this
options.GIF

Of course if you are accessing from work, then it's possible that it's a problem with somethng they've changed in their security set-up. You could try complaining that you have to log in manually 10 times a day... you know they an do P45s online now, right?

It's not the update, i only just applied that late night after posting that me ssage. This is not from work either (although there might be the same issue there) i have Firefox there but keep forgetting so i tend to open everything in IE.

Checkem my privacy settings and they look just the way TobyFish says they need to. Something might have gone screwey somewhere. I'll try to check it out on my test PC.

EDIT
I'm not entierly sure it's this forum. I seem to be having problems with another as well. I'll un-install/reinstall and see if that helps.

Do you have any third party software running that clears up your history and cookies on shutdown?

Does the forgetting happen while you are on line?

Once i have logged in it seems fine for that session and subsequent sessions. It does seem to come back when i turn off and turn the PC back on (But not always i can't really pinpoint it).

Don't think i have anything cleaning up history and cookies. Not unless it's built in.

Sometimes cookies get corrupted - best bet in that case is to manually browse to yoru cookie folder delete the dirx cookie - reboot then log in again.

did that earlier along with a re-install of Firefox and seems fine now. One of those oddities.

Funny you should post that - I had a similar thing with both YD and DIRx this week

They both made me log in again from work and home, but only the once - not many times a day. Weird.
