How do you mark your Stage/Deco cylinders.

Hello DIR-X

I was talking to a friend of mine, and we was discussing how to mark the stage/deco cylinders.
We both agree that it needs the name of the diver and the MOD of the gas, but I have always put the MOD decal on the upper part of the cylinder ( see my avatar ) – but he always have the MOD on the bottom of his stages ( around where the AK marking is on my avatar ).

Where do you normally put it ?

MOD should be on the upper part of cylinder to enable diver to easily identify it.

The one facing me is on the upper part of the cylinder where I can see it. The other, outward facing one, is on the lower part of the cylinder where my buddy can see and my elbow/arm does not obscure it.

Except for the big Oxygen 20 stickers which pretty much take up the majority of the sticker space.

I really don't see need for this and can't imagine how your elbow can obscure upper part of cylinder.

Hello,
is it possible to post some pics? I did mine the conservative way, the MOD left and right from the valve with little stickers near the valve (left and right) - is this wrong?

Best from Vienna, Hubsi

I've put in on the upper part, since I find it the easiest for team members on both left and right side to see what you are switching to.
I guess either way is possible, however team consistency should be the priority.

Also, it seems that name markings are often irrelevant for ocean diving, since you don't drop and pick up bottles during the dive.

But you drop them on the deck. It's easier when it's marked properly.
