Has anyone found any viz on the south coast (UK)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone found a good dive site along the south coast of the UK this weekend. Something with some viz! I dived out of Weymouth this weekend. The dives we did outside the harbour were pretty terrible. Dark and scary in 0.5m viz in less than 20m. One boat went to the binnendyke (28m) and by all accounts had the same conditions with the added joy of pitch darkness!?

Hi James,

We had 5-10m vis in Plymouth on the JEL, Scylla and Persier. I'll do a trip write up at some point today but it was an excellent weekend. Sorry to hear the vis in Weymouth was crap!

Cheers
Al

Thanks for the info. Plymouth did seem pretty good when I was there a couple of weeks ago. It seems worth the extra expense and time to get there if the diving is good at the moment.

Glad you had a good weekend. Despite the viz I was impressed by the boat I was on in Weymouth (Autumn dream). It had lots of space and made the day more pleasent.

City of Brussels

Same as you James...Dived City of Brussels in Liverpool bay on Saturday and Pitch Black at 25M Swirling current and 1.5m viz at LW Slack

However did a Drift dive Saturday off Puffin Island Anglesey and Had 4-7 m

So its Location dependant viz

Andy
