Europes Biggest Dive Show ?

As it says, which is the biggest Show in Europe, judged by number of people across the doors?

Also, which is the most popular Dive Magazine in Europe ?

The Dive Show 2005 at the NEC in UK got approx 17,000 visitors this year if thats any help ?

Magazines, well I only have the circ figures from them, but would you believe them ? :D

So anybody got any suggestions for shows which are bigger ?

What do you guys in Europe read ?

All help gratefully received.

Thanks

Das Boot - the german outdoors show, 30,000 visitors and its own section for divers, which in itself is huge compared to the UK shows.

Not "Das Boot" :D You mean the "boot" exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Visit their website (engl.): http://www3.boot.de/cipp/md_boot/cus...cket,g_u_e_s_t

Popular for a lot of boat-distributers / -sellers, you´ll find in exhibition hall no. 3 a lot of choices in scubadiving equipment, organistaions, shops and bases.

This year "Beyound the Shore", as the german distributer of DUI and Halcyon, has a big area with shop and information. With Tom Karch, you´ll find one of Europe´s GUE-Instructors on the "boot".

I´ve seen also DIRZONE, CustomDivers, Aqualung/APEKS and a lot of RB80-clones and other rebreathers.

May this year is not the right time (21.-29. january) to get there, but what should you do in this fxxxing cold winter time? :D:D:D

Have fun - Alex

Just a to avoid confusion :D, "Das Boot" is the famous movie by Wolfgang Petersen, "Boot" is the show. "Boot" means "boat".

NEVER, EVER believe circulation figures. I know first-hand of two sizable (non-diving) publications here in Austria which have people in vans driving around the country and buying their magazines. And I'm not even in the publishing business! Sounds crazy, I know.

The only one I read is Advanced Diver Magazine at http://www.advanceddivermagazine.com/, the other ones I know are crap. Doesn't mean there aren't good ones out there, though, I probably just haven't looked hard enough.
