![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bring out the Monkey OK so here goes.... Red Sea Explorers has declared 2008 is the year of the Monkey. We are going global with Monkey Diving. We have received preliminary approval from various diving agencies and to create Monkey Diving Specialty courses under a set of standards and procedures that is being developed so that it adheres with various requirements of various agencies. We are also in the process of designing and producing specialized monkey diving equipment. We shall have an online store soon. For the time being we are happy to announce that we have launched our website. It is still a work in progress and will be constantly updated and changed so stay tuned. Check it out at monkey-diving.com - Home Finally if you have been Monkey Diving, with us or at any another location, please sign our monkey book and share your thoughts with other Monkey divers out there. Best, Faisal Khalaf |

I can see that now: diver A meets diver B on a cattle boat. After the dive, diver A asks: Are you certified to do scuba diving, you looked awful in the water? diver B answers: I sure am, I just got the PADI monkey diver specialty. diver A: ohh, that explains it ![]() |

It looks like huge fun :-) Fiona, this has to be acceptable - if bungeed wings are bad, why stop at getting rid of the bungee when you can get rid of the wing too! Tim |

| Moderator | When are the t-shirts, mugs, etc coming out Faisal? Yep, I did last year, you just need to have a inflation bottle mounted on the BP otherwise it gets a little painful!! This sounds a lot of fun - has anyone tried it in a drysuit yet? I might have to give it a try ![]() It was a fun dive, but not really useful for what I normally do, underwater photography ![]()

Yeah I was thinking about popping a suit inflate hose on a stage reg, but then thought the usual argon bottle would probably be a better and easier option ![]() I might give this a go and see how it turns out, though I might also need a torch cos it might be during an evening dive! I have a feeling that it probably works best in warmer waters when you can jump in with just shorts, a stage and a scooter - rather than UK waters when you need almost all the rest of your kit anyway Still, it's got to be a bit of fun ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm not sure what was most fun, the Monkey Diving or the puzzled looks from other divers....... Well worth it for those of you on Tala this year! As GLOC mentioned, dry suit is fine. Make sure you ask Fiasal to show you the 'Spidey & Batman on the Thistlegorm' vid, pure genius boys!
