| Moderator | Thermals - Options ? At the moment I use 4th Elements and Chillcheaters, I have the 4thE base layer a couple of Reed Chillcheaters and a 4thE Arctic top and bottoms, obviously I don't wear everything just a combination. The Arctic has shrunk in the length and the arms and I need to replace it with something. I have just been to try on a new one, but I seem to fall between sizes one being too small and one having a lot of extra material under the arm area, arms are too long but I know they will shrink again. What do other people wear, being a ladyee I much prefer the two piece option. I think my old suit was a little warmer than the new DUI which is quite thin. |

Really thin and flexible so fit under your normal undersuit in the colder months. They look good too (Not on me i might add) HTH Neil |

| New Member | Fiona Whilst not a two piece, the Santi undersuits are superb at keeping divers warm and exceptionally well made. Having a MTM option is also very useful. I think both Clare and John would be able to advise you further but my Protec is probably the same thickness as your DUI and I don't get cold anymore in a 400g undersuit and Xerotherms. You could always wear the arctics underneath and be very warm indeed ![]() Ian |

They already do a jacket and trousers set in fleece (though it's designed as "after dive" wear). I could see a two piece Thinsulate working, maybe a higher waist like ski salopettes with braces, then a jacket with a beavertail like their current warming vest has and the parts which overlap being 200g to avoid excessive bulk, etc. Their whole product line was originated by divers saying to them (then just an industrial clothing company) "can you make one of these" (I saw one of the first pre-production Santi 400s which Marcin Kaluza had years ago), so you never know… Joe |

| Chimp 4 | I think Fiona was also getting at the two piece solution from the 'being a laydee' point of view as well - i.e. answering calls of nature and keeping your top half warm.. especially on those longer range dives where the boat doesn't have a head as such.. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I thought weezle had a 2-piece sit, with a zip around the waist to avoid a cold bare tummy during the dive. Have not seen them irl, but remember pictures on their site.
