The North East Underwater Explorers' website is moving (with a changed focus).

North East Underwater Exlorers - Home

Watching the NEUE website evolve over the last couple of years, we have seen a site with great potential and momentum, slowly wither. To invigorate interest in GUE/DIR diving within the North East, as well as provide improved support for projects and events, NEUE will be moving to a new platform.

Moving to this new site will allow us to unlock the passion that active divers in the North East have and to better support our local GUE/DIR community.

The site has been completely redesigned, with expanded features and a modern, modular look. This will create an improved platform for communication amongst the group. The site also has social networking features that will allow divers to connect and become involved in NEUE activities, including local dives and projects. (Planning is already underway on a number diving and social activities through out the year!)

To this end, the primary mission of the site has changed from supporting students and training to supporting divers and diving activities. The underlying theme remains the same; to provide an open door for those interested in GUE/DIR recreational and technical diving, as well as to support individuals committed to GUE philosophy.

Ultimately, the site remains what the members make of it, so I would encourage you to become actively involved sharing trip reports, ideas for charters or projects, photos, videos etc.

North East Underwater Explorers is a group of divers and Instructors with three objectives:

* To explore the waters of the North Eastern United States for new and challenging dive sites
* To increase diver safety and enjoyment in the North East
* We organize Technical and Recreational Diving activities in the North East, surrounding areas and beyond

We promote team diving and ongoing training as safety tools. The group has an open door attitude for those interested in DIR/GUE Recreational and Technical diving: a mentor program, continuing education, advice and activities designed to advance personal learning through experience.
