Costa de Lisboa, Portugal

Hi,

I will visit Lisboa for a vacation (17.2-24.2) and I'm not sure if I should bring my equipment with me or not. Any locals here who could tell me little about the diving in that area and if it is worth while briging gear.

I would be looking forward for a day or two of tech1-or rec diving.

best,

Pekka

We were there on business a while back. There's plenty of recreation level stuff but I didn't see anywhere doing deeper technical diving and you will not find much GUE activity I don't think.

We dived with these guys: Extremedive and while the diving was not the best in the world they were a friendly outfit and spoke English. The rental kit was adequate for the dives (about 15m, one reef one small wreck). The Atlantic surf made the RIB ride worth the trip without any diving!!

Hi,

We (ENTRADA.tv) are normally quite active (both cave & OW).
Peniche (some 100km North of Lisbon) has the better T1 sites, but there is always something to see everywhere :-)
You can also try this link (dir-portugal.com) - it lists a couple of operators that have DIR training & gear for rental.
Give us a shout and we will hook you up.

Best,
Ricardo
