GUE Conference 2007

Some photos, enjoy.
GUE Conference 2007 :: Galeria de Delfim Machado

This was after Casey saying in public that he loves CCRs.

Nice shots.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to release a DVD with the presentations and the talks, the PFO looked very interesting.

I reviewd the gallery and was shocked by the lack of pretty woman.

This is not DIR diving

I think that a holistic approach to diving has to include a proper proportion of hot babes. If not available, then hookers should be brought in to fill the gap.

And if so, where can I pre-order?

Still waiting for the promised content of the last conference...
I'd rather see the talks online than waiting for another DVD

It's a joke but the talk about CCRs was very interesting. Maybe in a near future CCRs will be used...

CCR to travel to the end of line, SCR to explore, they said.

CCR to travel to the end of line, SCR to explore, they said.

Before something gets taken out of context, it should be noted that the slide in the photo is Kevin Gurr's and represents his opinion of CCR accidents, not a GUE's.

There's been a fair bit of heated debate about unofficial announcements from previous conferences, but since the first post has been made, I thought I would a little detail would reduce the chance for misinterpretation. I would however, have preferred a more official way of releasing conference news than individual delegates trying to remember things.

In terms of the potential use of CCRs - this [CCR to travel to the end of line, SCR to explore] was the application for which they are being looked at most seriously. On the basis that the task loading for explorers (of Jarrod and Casey's ability) whilst riding the scooter at depth is pretty minimal, which means that this is probably the first point where the relative risk/reward analysis is likely to be met.
Such a dive (eg 5+hrs on the trigger each way to/from the exploration site) would require a dual SCR/CCR to be transported as well as the second SCR (as now) for deco.

And since I would guess that the entry level would presumably be at least Cave-3 + Tech-2 + RB80, it's probably safe to say that Chasey may have his work cut out if he wants to meet the pre-requisites to be "first in line" if a course is released!

David

David, thanks for the more-in-depth info.

Maybe the course Rebreather 2 will return
