Side Scan Sonar

Looking to buy a side scan sonar with following specs:

Range: 200 m
Cost: affordable
Portable or almost portable

Any ideas??

200m depth or sidescan?

Try Starfish - they are small, light and cheap but seem to work. Looking to get one or at least hire one for a couple of weeks.

Having had the full spiel about them from him this spring (including the price - makes the resulting diving seem cheap in comparison!), I guess Richard Lundgren would be a good person to get in touch with though I got the impression he was playing in the more expensive end of the market.

Im on the run right now so I only have time for a short answer, will get back later though.

Imaginex - sportscan - reasonable price, system are limited by shallow tow depth, portable, easy to use

Thaks all for the answers I will look into them. We need to get scanning down here in the Red Sea.... Maybe next time you are all down here we can dive a few new discoveries
