![]() ![]() ![]() | My son was cerified at 10 and has been diving for a couple of years now. I actually have worked with him on many of the different skills and drills that are taught in a DIR-F class. However, I take the rate at which he progresses very slow as I couldn't live with myself if something happend to him. He is an excellent little diver, but he's still very young (13 now) and his body as well as his mental capacity needs time to grow. The other thing is to keep him shallow. My son hasn't been over 33' (that's feet ) and doesn't need to go any deeper to experience the joys of diving. I know this is unsolicited advise, but I'm just very passionate about my kids and their saftey and wanted to pass on a father's perspective. ![]() |
