Diving in Israel

Hi, I will be in Israel mid 2007 and enquiring about diving.

I have nothing planned trip wise other that taking my elderly mother to visit some friends.

Once I drop her off, I will have a couple of weeks to drink and dive.

Recreational or Tech, it doesnt matter.

Any suggestions shall be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello, Hugh!

If you go to the Mediterrenian there are quite a lot of wrecks all over the place. One of the most famous is Italian WW2 sub Scire located in Haifa
(a real shame tha I myself live in Haifa and never dived it:-))

Other than that there are quite a lot of other wrecks in the Mediterrenian(this is the main attaction of the Med diving, IMHO).

As for gases, helium is about twice as cheap here as in Egypt. Nimrod runs a real great dive club in Ashdod and you can get a team of DIR divers here!

You can PM me for some more details.
