| not a new member | As an Apex Service Technician I had one in my hands at the start of the year.....Naturally, I took it apart! They do indeed give a visual indication of middle pressure and are quite clever in design. The down side is that the body is slightly longer to accomodate the "new technology". As to being DIR, not really but we´re not the intended market. If it allows a novice or a holiday diver to see something is wrong BEFORE he gets in the water, it can´t be all bad. I worry a little though that it might be treated as a Service guide ie. keep diving the reg beyond it´s service interval because the display says everything is ok. ATB Devon Rob
