![]() | Recreational DIR diving... I haven't really thought about tis in any great details so there feel free to kick me if there is an obvious answer. With the advent of a GUE OW course what is going to be taught with respect to tables and I guess specifically multilevel dives? Gavin |

| Moderator | This brings us nicely to the discussion our bunch are having. If you are diving to NDL limits (which tables/limits?), what is the DIR way of working out your BT, especially for multi-level dives such as a training dive in V, NDAC or Stoney? Everyone use a computer with the same algorithm (Suunto prob as being most popular), set to the same conservation limit and dive accordingly? If you dive a wreck, use a square profile from a table/cutsheet, again which table or cutsheets? Thanks Gareth |

| Moderator | That is nice to know as I have fundies planned for next year. But until then, is there a DIR way of doing NDL dives? Having just run some figures through various models to work out a 30m dive with 32% I get. USN (Unmodified) - 40mins PADI - 40mins (AIUI PADI are USN but slightly modified) USN (Dop Mod'd) - 30mins V-Planner (+2 cons) - 50mins V-Planner (+4 cons) - 39mins Suunto (RGBM) - 42mins So 40 mins would be a good figure for a square dive, but what about multi-level knowing how difficult it is to pre-dive judge depths/times for multi-level dive calculations (and that isn't just my bouyancy control )Thanks |

![]() | I tend to use these... http://dir-diver.com/pdf/minimum-dec...h_metric_A.pdf That said is there a route to doing deco with GUE that doesn't involve Tech1? Gavin Last edited by Gavin; November 28th, 2005 at 02:50 PM. |

For something like 30@30m I'd do Minimum Deco, soUSN (Unmodified) - 40mins PADI - 40mins (AIUI PADI are USN but slightly modified) USN (Dop Mod'd) - 30mins V-Planner (+2 cons) - 50mins V-Planner (+4 cons) - 39mins Suunto (RGBM) - 42mins So 40 mins would be a good figure for a square dive, but what about multi-level knowing how difficult it is to pre-dive judge depths/times for multi-level dive calculations (and that isn't just my bouyancy control )Thanks 30m 30min 15m Pause 12m 1min 9m 1min 6m 1min Slow Ascent J |

Basically as you start getting into more Deco you need to think more about bail-out, what gasses etc. That is what Tech1 is.http://dir-diver.com/pdf/minimum-dec...h_metric_A.pdf That said is there a route to doing deco with GUE that doesn't involve Tech1?
