| 20% Ninja 80% Rebel | Well, not exactly P-Valves, but sheath/condom catheters. Found an ad in a journal at work for a company called BioDerm. They are marketing a new type of external catheter that only attaches to the glans (the bell-end ) and can stay in place for up to 3 days ![]() Dom |

| Cave is fun :) | Looks like an excellent idea. The question is how durable it is and how hard you can "pull" the catheter without detaching it. If I can get a sample I will try it. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My samples have arrived and Ill be doing a two day test on the 19th and a three day on the 123 July. Ill let you know the results. They are expensive at 7.50 each (I think) but you leave them on for the whole trip . Seeing as my diving is usually a minimum of two days it works out only slightly more expensive than the £2.50 catheters i normally use. the advantage is apparently comfort and no problems with cold water shrinkage (if you know what I mean.Whilst for your average dive I would imagine they would be considered too expensive I think they would still be a viable consideration on long dives where spending a few hours in a urine soaked under suit may be less than optimal. Ironically on all my dive where I am expecting 120min + run times I am about as hydrated as i can be so i end up peeing a half a dozen or more times during deco. ATB Mark Chase

| Chimp 2 | I've tried them. They are a little scary tbh, as they are stick as hell, and there's no taking the things off without solvent from the manufacturer (seriously) or a long soak in the bath ( I can vouch that this works too ).they are fiddly to put on, and you get once chance to get it right, or have a useless piece of plastic stuck to the side of your unmentionable until your next bath ![]() However, they do the job once they are on. They are far more secure than normal catheter condoms. The price, however, at about £7 each, hurts about as much as taking them off

![]() | These do indeed work fantastically well, and as Garf said, they stick like sticky the stick insect on a very sticky day!! Had it on all day (and overnight) and it was still sticking like a limpet the next day. If you can stomach the price then go for it. I wrote a little report here http://www.yorkshire-divers.com/foru...erm#post461422 Oh, and there's another 53 posts on the subject too ![]() |
