catabolic deco?

What is your thoughts on how decompresdion dive affects metabolism? Does it have a ctabolic effect or anabolic, and how does it evolves along with surface interval and after diving time? What workout would you recommend on the next after deco (and mixed gas) diving day: weights or cardio? How should it be adjusted if it should be adjusted? Thanks for reading.

anabolic is what the russians used to do to their female gymnasts... so-called because if you gave "Ana" enough steroids, she would grow "bolics"

catabolics is what they did to their male gymnasts as in "if they can't do the splits, we catabolics off"

HTH

I almost sat on the cat this morning as I got dressed in the dark.

Anabolic is basically chemical reactions that take place in the body and are concerned with the synthesis of large molecules from smaller ones. Anabolism is necessary for body-building, growth, and repair. Basically to build up.

Catabolic the metabolic breakdown of complex molecules into simpler ones, often resulting in a release of energy or break down.

I am usually at rest on deco and I don't work out or do anything physical for the next 24 hours unless some chick visits me after a dive . I also get pretty hungry after a dive.

Not really sure what your question is though.....

Thanks Ali for the input. That is basically what I was asking about but couldn't put it in the clearway. There are hormons that responsible for triggering cell building processes and are those working the opposite way. Micro bubbles and bubbles of larger size caused by offgassing affect the body. After a bad deco I feel tired, and it is not a physical exhaustion like after a daylong hike. So I just was wondering if offgassing and/or high partial presure gases may have an effect on a body similar to hormons. That is just a thought.Sometimes after a deco I actually feel energized but 2-3 hours later it switches to tiredness. The question about what workout is better on the next day is to find out what helps better recovery (from your experience) - the cardio (jogging, swimming) or weights (i usually have lower heart rate doing it).Speaking of cats. They are ass$oles, almost all of them. Speaking of russians I suggest you to shut up your fuc$ing mouth before you get too national. Otherwise the word from your puss$ mouth may return to you due to the earth shape bringing unexpected results. (Sorry, Ali the last I didn't mean address to you)

I honestly have no idea, but might be worth having a look through the resources on Rubicon: Rubicon Research Repository: Home

You might find something on there.
