Talking Nikeplus DIR DIstance Challenge

Hi folks

Exactly what is says on the tin... A friendly banter of a competition for those wanting to become match fit before the summer. Results will be placed on the Fitness Forums of www.direxplorers.com so come and have some fun...

Ok s heres the competition, if you have an Ipod and a Nikeplus attachment then I've set a challenge on the Nikeplus website:

http://www.nike.com/nikeplus/

The competition runs for 30 days and is measured on the distance that you cover with your Ipod Nikeplus (running or walking).

Its not scientific - its just a bit of fun - and may just give you a bit of motivation to cover a few miles in the cold spring months and work on your lung efficiency

Anytakers.... drop me a pm and I'll send you an invite.

If you have an ipod and wish to join the nikeplus attachment is about £20.00 from most stores and the website upload is free. You can even play on the treadmill at the gym in the comfort of aircon and MTV - If your so inclined .

The challenge starts on Feb 19th, so come and play...

Too bad, I don't have an Ipod.
Might be fun though so maybe.....
I really like the initiative!

Lukas is on a distinguished road

That tempts me to buy a nikeplus...
But with the -15°C outside right now, I don't think I'll do much running in the next 30 days.
Now if there was something like nikeplus for your swimsuit...

Thumbs up Week 1 Results

Week 1 Results, 25th Feb - 19:22 GMT

Ok Here goes the cold water....

Ranking & Distance

01 RJB (JSouth) 10.14 miles

02 PFM (PFM) 09.30 miles

After an early lead the UK gives way to the US, but this is only week 1 and with 3 weeks left to go it could be anybody's game.... The only real winner is lung efficiency

The game is still open, so to join the challenge, just drop me a pm and I'll send you an invite

...hmm, less of this: and more of this next week:

Good effort I'm doing a fair bit of running myself, but don't have an iPod, so can't take part.

Hi Andy,

The Challenge is open to anyone, so feel free to post your distances up on the boards and we'll continue the rankings & cumulative totals.

Just a bit of fun to keep the winter motivation up...

Challenge ends 20/3/07 11:59 GMT
