OW Moths!!!!!!!!

Anybody noticed this ????????? that OW Divers are moths attracted to HID Lights!!!!!!!!!!

Well they are IMHO..............I'll expand..Spent the weekend diving ...First at Good old Capers... Yawn.....Doing cave skills everything from lost line drills to deploying back ups and OOA...However ...where myself and Rick decided to do this was well out of the way in a part of the quarry thats rarely used...Just Tying the spool onto the main line, after doing a lost line drill ...along power two OWs and literally fly between me and Rick without stopping..Eh..all the quarry they have ..and they pester us ...wouldn't have minded if they had stopped to look and see what we were doing ,and took an interest

Whats that all about

Away to Dorothea on Sunday a Fav place of mine ..has a reputation ..( to overseas friends its cold and Deep in places 108m and a few divers have died over the years )however..there is depths to cover everybodys experience.

Doing a Back light comparison a at nearly 30m on our own along come a group of OW divers and begin to kick and Push Rick and Steve as they Fly past us ...

swing hard left and into the tunnel...Ha ha ha whats this all about ..discuss!!

Not MOANING !! Just Tongue in Cheek had a great weekend, although in Quarries..had a top curry Saturday night and A FEW BEERS after Capernwray ...Liverpool FC won ...Man United Lost ..Great Dives at Dorothea with a few more beers on the way home... WINTER IN THE UK, ITS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!!!!!...With a little Help From Rick, Steve and Rafa Benitiz

A top weekend indeed mate and my 7th dive of the New Year....Not bad considering I don't have my suit! :D

I guess you just had an unfortunate run-in with some poor divers. How do you know they were OW divers? for all i know they might have been GUE Tech 2 and Cave 2 divers that were just being tits.

There will be poor divers with us everywhere and there is not a whole lot we can do about them. It would really annoy me though.

Oh and if i'm ever one of those tits that charge through you, i appologise in advance.

..loved The Pistol grip light ..swinging everywhere whilst on ......bet the guy never knew how close he was to getting 3 regs thrust in his mouth

Just saying that if you don't know what DIR is or how it works they won't know that they are doing stuff wrong.

I turned round to look at the tunnel entrance and there he was...almost sitting on my compass FFS!

I looked at him in the eye, looked at you two, looked back at him and he finned off silting up as he went!

On first look I thought it was a diving mickey mouse, but on closer inspection it was a Petzl helment with 2 x UK Light Cannons afixed to it!

I take it his buddy was called goofey! :D

I bet there's a post on RB_World headed "3 DIR KNOBBERS" detailing how he and his buddy came across 3 divers who seemed to be floating lifeless on the shelf at dotty, pointing their lights on the floor, looking at nothing.....LOL

I agree with you there.. We were doing our fundies out at blue grotto, two of us and 4 instructors...5 hid lights (I don't have one yet)... Anyhow, we were very obviously doing a class...You know, all facing each other, primary instructor having us perform skills, etc etc. This OW INSTRUCTOR led his class of about 10 directly through the middle of us, right over our platform and on up. It was like a big confetti drop! That and the constantly defending your head from the SFOD (split-fin of death). I flashed them the universal underwater sign of love as they swam off and we continued our course...
