TFT Do Narvik - An Appetite for Destruction! - Gratuitous Photo Thread

Just walked in the house and am unpacking some kit to put it on charge before off to NDAC tomorrow but before I retire I thought I would put a few teaser images up. Garf will be writing a monster report which should be up in the next couple of days.

The week was excellent, wrecks are massive 120-150m long for the merchantmen and depths of 30m max meant long dives for some interesting exploration.

I will put a more complete set of images up on Monday when I get back from NDAC and in those will be a set showing how things can go badly wrong in wreck penetration if you are not prepared for it (sorry to say it didn't go wrong and the number of chimps returning equalled that which went!!)

First off, the weather was rubbish!

Next, the viz was pants and the wrecks were small!!

My buddies were cool with the poor viz and cracking wreck penetration though...

This trip was awesome in the true meaning of the word and not some American take of the word!! We will be going back!!

More on Monday as I am busy all day tomorrow...

I took around 750 images (topside and underwater) and have got that down to around 600, some of which need a little cleaning up because of the rust percolation come down inside and the large metal plate that fell down beside me whilst I was taking a rudder shot on the SS Romanby!!

Can`t wait to see the photos from my old hometown.
Ive been wisiting Narvik almost a whole week this summer, but without diveequipment.
